Scott Breazeale
Executive Chef
Executive Chef Scott Breazeale is a Plymouth-Canton native who discovered his culinary passion in childhood, inspired by time spent in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother. After high school, he pursued his culinary education in Seattle, focusing on pastry, before returning to Metro Detroit, where he sharpened his craft across several high-profile establishments, including La Bistecca, Greektown Casino, Vinology, and Novi Chophouse. Through these experiences, Scott built a strong foundation in both classic and contemporary culinary techniques.
Scott’s career trajectory took an exciting turn when he became the executive sous chef for the Detroit Lions, where he refined his expertise in both performance nutrition and large-scale offerings. His skill and creativity then landed him on two popular Food Network baking shows, where he showcased his adaptability and expertise under high-pressure situations.
With a love for both sweet and savory elements, Scott’s journey expanded into performance nutrition and the art of gourmet chocolate making. These experiences ultimately led him to a partnership with Don Soenen, owner of Chicane, where Scott now brings his culinary vision to life.
For Chicane Scott is dedicated to creating memorable food experiences using a wood-fired grill to enhance the natural flavors of local ingredients, premium steaks, and fresh seafood. His commitment to quality extends to crafting handmade pasta, artisanal bread, and sophisticated yet approachable desserts.
